Due to PCRIC’s ongoing expansion and increasing demand, the team gathered for a two-day retreat at the Tanoa Plaza Hotel in Suva, Fiji to chart the company’s trajectory. This marked the team’s first face-to-face meeting since transitioning to virtual interactions.
Together, the PCRIC Management Team delved into organizational capabilities, ensuring alignment with the delivery of its five thematic areas:

- Technical Capability – Operate Regional Open Risk Information and Underwriting Platforms.
- Operational Excellence – Ensure Effective Organisation and Sustainable Financing.
- Global Partnering – Fully Leverage the Global Climate Risk Insurance Landscape.
- Compelling Value Proposition – Appropriately Manage Client and Broader Stakeholder Expectations.
Discussions also encompassed progress towards PCRIC’s Strategic Plan and Business Plan objectives, along with product development and stakeholder engagements. The retreat provided a pivotal opportunity not only to consolidate PCRIC’s achievements and plan for future growth but also to map out a pathway for sustained expansion and improved service delivery.
Moreover, the retreat served as a vital platform for fostering camaraderie and collaboration, vital for effective team-building and collective problem-solving. Strengthening team relationships and deepening understanding of individual responsibilities within the broader strategic framework of the company were key outcomes of the retreat.
