PCRIC Meets with SPREP Management

A recent country mission to Samoa provided PCRIC with the opportunity to meet for the first time with SPREP’s Management team. Briefings covered the role of PCRIC in the region and what the company can offer in support of efforts by nations to build resilience and better counter the impact of climate change.

Appreciation of PCRIC’s effort to broadcast the detail of their mandate was expressed by SPREP which also stressed the importance of working closely together given the synergies that existed between SPREP’s climate change finance responsibilities and PCRIC’s disaster risk financing role. To this end, parties will continue to progress the establishment of an MoU to formalise collaboration in areas pertinent to the two organisation’s strategic missions.
