PCRIC Engages with Global Corporate Stakeholders

Attendance at CHOGM 24 in Apia, Samoa provided an unexpected chance for the PCRIC team to directly engage with major corporate stakeholders from around the Commonwealth. Receiving an invitation from the Sustainable Market Initiative (a charity founded with the financial support of King Charles III) to a private sector leadership event with the monarch, the team was given a unique opportunity to directly advocate for collaboration in building more resilient communities within the Pacific and across the whole Commonwealth.

After the event, PCRIC Risk Manager, Mrs. Daphney Stone, commented that though one does not expect major commitment to flow from such chance engagements, it is unquestionable that seeds were sown, and it was now PCRIC’s role to continue the process of advocacy and diplomacy to nurture key relationships and demonstrate the merits of tangibly supporting the work of PCRIC with vulnerable island nations.
