PCRIC is happy to announce the successful renewal of parametric insurance policies for the 2024/2025 season with the Governments of Fiji, Tonga, Niue, Samoa, and the Cook Islands.
These renewals highlight the steadfast commitment of these nations to proactively taking steps to implement enhanced disaster risk management strategies which boost preparedness and strengthen resilience against the region’s most pressing natural and climate-induced hazards.
The following policies represent the commitments made by these countries:
- Fiji: tropical cyclone and excess rainfall policies.
- Tonga: tropical cyclone and earthquake/tsunami policies.
- Niue: tropical cyclone policy.
- Samoa: tropical cyclone, earthquake and excess rainfall policies.
- Cook Islands: tropical cyclone policy.
