PCRIC to Attend V20 Ministerial Dialogue and Loss and Damage Dialogue in Washington, DC

PCRIC will attend the V20 Ministerial Dialogue XIV on April 24th at the World Bank Headquarters, held during the 2025 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group in Washington, DC. This high-level dialogue unites V20 Finance Ministers and partners to address issues pertaining to challenges amid escalating climate shocks, culminating in a V20 Communiqué for multilateral climate prosperity.

Following this, PCRIC will participate in the inaugural Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage High-Level Dialogue on April 25th, also on the Spring Meetings’ sidelines. This invite-only roundtable gathers multilateral development banks, international financial institutions, UN agencies, climate funds, private sector, philanthropies, and risk financing entities to bridge funding gaps, enhance collaboration, and strengthen partnerships for addressing climate-induced economic and non-economic loss and damage.

PCRIC’s engagement with these pivotal forums signals its commitment to building Pacific resilience through financial protection initiatives. By aligning with the V20 and Loss and Damage Fund, PCRIC advances parametric insurance as a central tenet of sustainable development. This step will strengthen efforts to deliver swift and equitable solutions for Pacific nations confronting climate risks.
