12 May 2026The Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) is participating in the Climate Risk Finance Forum 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany, from 12–13 May. The Forum brings together global leaders and experts to advance innovative financial solutions for climate resilience.
PCRIC’s engagement highlights its role as a region‑owned mechanism providing reliable financial protection to Pacific Island countries. Key contributions include insights on regional resilience, the “money‑out” process from payouts to communities, impact measurement and strengthening global partnerships to align expertise with Pacific needs.
PCRIC remains committed to transparency, innovation, and resilience as it works with Members, donors, and partners to protect Pacific communities against growing climate risks.
In parallel, the regional Risk Pools will convene their Annual CEOs’ Summit during the Forum. The Summit will focus on addressing the rising costs of reinsurance, among other important DRF issues.
