Last week, the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Board of Directors along with the Management Team hosted a dinner for the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM) delegates.

Persisting in their series of bilateral meetings during the ongoing 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team actively embraced the chance to engage with numerous representatives from Pacific Island nations. This proactive approach encompassed discussions with a range of countries, notably including Niue, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

In addition to conducting bilateral meetings with various Pacific Island Countries (PICs) during the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Board Chair, Ms. Sarah Jane Wild and the Management Team met with the V20 Global Lead, Ms. Sara Jane Ahmed.

The Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Board of Directors and Management Team held their second face-to-face meeting in Suva, Fiji at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.

Next week, the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team will embark on a country mission to Tonga. This visit will hold multifaceted objectives, each geared towards enhancing disaster resilience and fostering collaboration.

Among the bustling discussions and networking at the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team met with the Acting Deputy Secretary of the Papua New Guinea Department of Treasury, Mr. John Uware.

Amidst the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM) currently being held in Suva, Fiji, the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team engaged in a bilateral meeting with the Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, Tonga's Minister of Finance.

The Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) was invited to attend the inaugural Pacific Loss and Damage Dialogue held in Apia, Samoa. PCRIC’s Regional Coordinator, Ms. Akosita Drova, represented the company.

During a breakfast meeting with Pacific representatives at the second workshop addressing Loss and Damage (L&D), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) CEO, Mr. Aholotu Palu, engaged in fruitful discussions on the crucial funding arrangements for the L&D facility.
