PCRIC is a multi-donor funded disaster risk insurance company established for the benefit of the Pacific Islands region.

Long-existent market gaps are being narrowed and closed by PCRIC through the provision of specialised insurance-based solutions to the financial risks that climate, weather and seismic disasters impose upon all Pacific Island nations.

PCRIC is actively involved in education and capacity building efforts to enhance regional capability in the Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRI) sphere. Often in collaboration with regional or global partners, we deliver workshops, seminars and training in-country and online to close knowledge gaps.

PCRIC also acts to influence CDRFI policy development across the region, and takes an active role globally in advocating for a greater allocation of resources to the CDRFI needs of the Pacific Islands region, home to nations which are among the world’s most vulnerable to the impact of climate change.
