Mr. Aholotu Palu, the CEO of PCRIC will lead a PCRIC delegation comprised of Risk Manager (Ms. Daphney Stone), Actuarial Specialist (Mr. Richard Poulter), and Premium Strategist (Mr. Charles Owen) to the first Climate Risk Finance Forum (CRFF) hosted by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the Global Shield Solutions Platform (GSSP) in Frankfurt, Germany from 11th to 13th April.
The CEO of PCRIC will participate in panel discussions on i) how terms and conditions lead to sustainable premium financing; and ii) how can premium support aid risk pools in becoming development insurers and meeting loss and damage finance needs. In addition, the PCRIC team will contribute to technical discussions on building capability in risk analytics, optimising risk management, and setting a vision for development insurers.
The GSSP, one of the three financing vehicles under the Global Shield launched at COP27, offers a valuable opportunity for PCRIC to connect with and learn from leading experts and practitioners in building resilient risk pools. PCRIC will also take the opportunity to discuss with the GSSP management, potential financial and technical support towards its resilience-building agenda for the Pacific region.
Approximately 70 participants from various parts of the world are expected to attend the conference, including CEOs and Risk Managers from the four regional Risk Pools. PCRIC wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the GSSP for co-hosting this important conference and providing financial support for PCRIC’s participation.
