Last week, the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Management Team held a hybrid meeting with their Finance and Investment consultants to engage in a comprehensive dialogue on a spectrum of crucial matters pivotal to sustaining PCRIC's resolute commitment to enhancing the disaster risk finance (DRF) landscape for the Pacific region.

The Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team is currently embarked on a country mission in Samoa. One of the highlights shared during this mission is the news regarding premium financing, a development that expands coverage to include existing policies for both tropical cyclone and earthquake risks.

Following productive discussions in Suva, Fiji, during the recent 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team reconvened with the Hon. Tiofilusi Tiueti, Tonga's Minister of Finance during their mission in Tonga. During this visit, they provided a comprehensive briefing on the objectives of their mission.

In the midst of the proceedings of the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Chair and Management Team capitalized on their observer status by listening and absorbing the discussions.

While in Fiji, Ms. Sarah Jane Wild, the Chair of the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) along with the Management Team, recently paid a courtesy call to Mr. Henry Puna, the Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat.

Last week, the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Board of Directors along with the Management Team hosted a dinner for the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM) delegates.

In addition to conducting bilateral meetings with various Pacific Island Countries (PICs) during the 2023 Forum Economic Ministers Meeting (FEMM), the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) Board Chair, Ms. Sarah Jane Wild and the Management Team met with the V20 Global Lead, Ms. Sara Jane Ahmed.
