As one year ends and another begins, the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC) team stands ready to continue its mandate as bestowed by the Forum Economic Leaders to serve Pacific Island countries in offering financial protection against disasters.
As the past year drew to its conclusion, COP 27 brought upon PCRIC never before seen levels of attention to the entire region’s exposure to disasters and the urgent need to develop tenable financial solutions.
Serving in this arena, PCRIC reiterates its optimism in supporting Pacific leaderships in terms of technical assistance to help them better understand options available for improved Disaster Risk Management and Disaster Risk Finance in response to natural hazards.
In this new year, PCRIC is especially delighted to introduce its highly anticipated new drought and excess rainfall products. This will certainly boost the already burgeoning full suite of sovereign parametric insurance products that the company currently has at its immediate disposal.
With PCRIC’s expert technical capability in developing tailored products for specific needs integrated with prompt payouts made against a claim under its insurance policies, the entire team is excited to journey through the days ahead in helping the region build up its disaster resilience.
Best wishes for a memorable and fantastic 2023 filled with hope and joy!
