Having both lived and worked in the Pacific over a period of two decades, Peter has first-hand experience with the scale of challenges imposed on Pacific communities by volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, cyclone, floods, global recession and social unrest.
Peter brings to the team a unique blend of skills and experience developed through roles in both the private sector and donor-funded private sector development initiatives.
Long-term roles with Shell and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation have been followed by senior management positions in a number of renewables businesses as well as a wide range of advisory assignments with various international donor programs. This background ensures Peter brings a very robust commercial acumen and disciplined approach to supporting the recovery, development and sustainability of businesses in the Pacific Islands.
With literally hundreds of SMEs the direct beneficiary of Peter’s broad business expertise and hands-on approach to nurturing and mentoring business owners, his work has created a healthy legacy of market expansion, job creation and positive business growth in many sectors of regional island economies.
Peter’s highlights include living and working in the Pacific for over a period of two decades, held long-term roles with Shell and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation, and is highly experienced in private sector and donor-funded private sector development initiatives. He received his Bachelor of Economics from the University of New England.
